Welcome to the Pick Strum Play About page. Here at Pick Strum Play we provide free and in-depth comprehensive tutorial videos in high definition on how to play guitar. The purpose of our site is to teach as many people who are interested in playing the guitar as possible. Our videos are top quality and we take pride in it.
We use HD video quality, along with different chromo key screens, lights, and top quality guitars to teach our lessons. The professional quality will help you learn more efficiently. We know from experience because we have tried learning from different guitar teachers online.
Pick Strum Play, is ran by two people I’m Jeff, and this is Shawn. I am the guitar teacher and web designer, while Shawn is the behind the scenes producer, video editor and is actually the one who breaks down the lessons in a simple manner.
You might be wondering what qualifies me to teach you how to play. I have been playing guitar for the last 15 years now and I have been teaching people regularly offline for about 7. Shawn and I came up with this blog in order to teach as many people as we can.
We try to keep our lessons simple and to the point so that the learning process doesn’t become over whelming. Both of us know how to play guitar so we know what helped us learn and what would have helped us learn better. We try to incorporate both angles into the videos, video editing process, and the blog itself.
We stand out amongst a crowd of webpages that try to teach you lessons for many reasons.

With the feedback from our students we plan to build our site into what is wanted. We are here for our students and that is all. We enjoy playing guitar, this our passion so feel free to contact us with your questions, song requests, or anything music related.
Furthermore we have many ways that you can stay updated for when there are new video lessons added to the blog. The easiest way is to sign up to the RSS Feed. You can either use your RSS reader or there is actually an option to sign up to the feed by email. The only emails you would receive through the RSS email subscription are the new blog posts. This means new video lessons for you as soon as they are available. Pretty good deal huh?
Also, we have a Facebook Fan Page, YouTube channel, and a Twitter following. And if you are familiar with social media sites you can easily just do a quick search for Pick Strum Play on them and you will find us. Another alternative is, there are buttons on the page that link to our Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages. Bookmarking us doesn’t hurt either.
